Thixotropic Agent is a high performance powder material used in various wall mortar materials such as plastering, which helps to achieve a better balance between smooth construction and anti-sagging resistance. It is especially suitable for flowable cement-based mortars or gypsum mortars.

Performance

• Compared with ordinary anti-sagging products, the anti-sagging and thixotropic properties are superior.

• While meeting the requirements of anti-sagging, the material has low viscosity, resulting in a lighter and smoother skimming feel during application.

• Does not affect the mechanical properties of the material.

• When combined with other admixtures(air en-training agent, SMF water reducer), better material properties can be obtained.

• Various systems of putty powder, bonding mortar, caulking agent(paste)

Use and Dosage

Add in proportion and mix thoroughly. Recommended dosage is 0.02 – 0.1% of binder weight. Exact dosage rates are dependent on the type of effect sought, quality of cement and aggregates, water/cement ratio and ambient temperature. Therefore, in many cases it is advisable to carry out trial mixes.

Package, Storage & Shelf Life

For powder: Powder packed in 25kg bag.

It should be stored in a dedicated warehouse that is well-ventilated and dry and keep away from moisture.

Shelf Life: Minimum 12 months. After the expiration date, it can be used if testing results is qualified.
